From the Louisiana-Certified Arborists at Bayou Tree Service
Bayou Tree Company is dedicated to the preservation and care of Louisiana’s trees. Cabling and bracing are tree preservation techniques used to give extra support to trees in need.
If you have a tree or group of trees that needs to be cabled and braced we’re here to help. Bayou Tree Service has been part of south Louisiana since 1980 with fully staffed offices and local teams in New Orleans and Baton Rouge to better serve you!
If you would like to find out how much it will cost to cable and brace a tree, please request a consultation in New Orleans at (504) 608-0523 or in Baton Rouge (225) 401-0084.
What is the difference between cabling and bracing?
Bracing uses ridged supports, often installed in the lower sections of trees whereas cabling uses flexible cables, and are usually used higher in the tree. Both are meant to support the tree while still allowing it to continue to develop normally.
When Should you Contact us About Cabling And Bracing your Tree?
- The tree has codominant stems that are at a high risk of splitting
- The tree has a significant sag and needs support to help it grow upright.
- The tree has especially long and heavy major branches.
- The tree is sick or damaged.
- The tree has existing cabling or bracing that has not been inspected within the past 5 years
